Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra May Introduce Built-In Privacy Display

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra could soon put an end to unwanted glances at your screen in public. According to early leaks, the flagship might debut with a new “Privacy Display” feature that blocks viewing from side angles, making external privacy screen protectors a thing of the past.

A leak from tipster @Achultra on X suggests that this feature was spotted in the initial One UI 8.5 build. It will reportedly let users toggle the setting on or off, offering more control over visibility in public spaces.

The Privacy Display may function in both automatic and manual modes. In auto mode, the phone can detect when it’s being used in public and limit screen visibility to hide sensitive content. Manually, users can activate it while typing passwords or viewing private files. The display might also dim slightly to further enhance privacy.

Samsung is expected to make this feature exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, thanks to its Flex Magic Pixel hardware technology. Alongside this, the Ultra model is tipped to bring several upgrades such as a refreshed design with rounder corners, a new rear camera layout, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and the signature S Pen support.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Samsung may restructure the S26 lineup. The base model could be rebranded as the S26 Pro, while the Plus variant might return after the S25 Edge underperformed. Some regions may also get devices powered by Samsung’s next-gen 2nm Exynos 2600 chip.
